Normally my family is pretty harmonious, but last night it got a little hectic. My mom made chicken and rice, and was expecting my sister to be home and have dinner. We set the food out and ready for her. Mom even called to make sure what time that she was going to be home. Apparently they didn’t talk about mom making dinner. As a result, Heather (my sis) ate on her way home. When she got home, mom started getting a plate together. When mom found out that Heather had already eaten, she flipped out and tossed out the food and yelled at her. I didn’t catch the whole thing, but Heather wound up in tears, and went to her room. (She has been really stressed from work.) Dad went in to console her, but unfortunately, Dad has never been good at comforting Heather, and like usual he just made things worse. She was really upset, and I wound up going in and helping her.

In the end things wound up okay, but she is really looking to move out now (or was last night), and she is really looking forward to going to Las Vegas next week.
