Okay, the world has gone funny…

This is Florida, the “Sunshine State.” We call it that, not because of our cheerful and friendly attitudes, but because we are known for our temperate weather, but last night we had something that we haven’t seen in the state for years: snow! Now granted, there was rain mixed in, and it melted as it touched anything, but it was snow! In November! We don’t usually get cold until January or February, and we are lucky to get frost for like three days a year. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see it in person, just on the news. I didn’t realize that it was happening until after. Still, it was exciting. (And to all of you that are outside Florida that are thinking, “big deal,” right now, I say to you this: To someone who has seen snow twice in his life of now 29 years, it is a big deal.)
