Whee!! Wii!

You just can’t help buy into the marketing with the play on words with this system… You also can’t help but be impressed with it.

Scott won the opportunity to buy a Wii from his employer, so he brought home the new system from Nintendo (in case you are under a rock, or when I read this in the future, and my brain has gone mushy). He also brought home The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. All I can say is “wow.” Nintendo really outdid themselves this time. All of the hype about the wiimote is true. This controller really revolutionizes the way you play and experience games (while burning a lot more calories). I played the Wii Sports game that comes with it, and while the games were very simple, playing with the wiimote really made them fun.

I have yet to actually play Zelda, but I have watched Scott and Dad play, and I am really impressed. One thing that I have thought was missing from Zelda games of the past is a true story-line and emotional connection to the characters, and they seem to have made strides there. Of course the controller improves the experience (I assume) as well. The graphic style is just what I want to see in a Zelda game. From what I have experienced so far, this is a true masterpiece, and will remain a classic for years to come.
