Dear M. Rosemary Everson’s so-called lawyer,
This is one of the worst scam emails that I have received in a long time, and I am highly dissatisfied. There are too many errors in this message for any but the basest of internet user to actually fall for it. I have included a proofed copy of the original message that I received, with my edits in red. Please review it and correct the egregious grammatical errors that it your original contained before sending it out again.
There are some other errors that you have made in this correspondence as well. For instance, you start out with “Dear Sir/Madam” (I corrected the capitalization), and later you mention that you have gone through my profile (with no mention of what sort of profile). This would mean that you should have me name, and in this sort of correspondence, it should be included out of courtesy. On a technical note, there are mail sending programs that can customize emails to people based on many types of information; some for under $50.
Also, it would be better to target your audience a little better. Since I am atheist (I believe that all gods are fiction), any appeal to a religious nature is wasted. A better tactic would be a more general emotional appeal. Some simple searching online can help you come up with better targets. If you are going to use this tactic in the future, I would suggest that you harvest your email addresses from related sites. Start with a Google search for “christian” if you do not know of any sites in particular.
Make sure that you are consistent in your story. You mention that Rosemary is contacting me, and yet the from address is the same as the lawyer’s. Speaking of the lawyer’s address, this would be much better to register a domain which is official-sounding, and possibly a fake website. There are many proxy registrars that you can go through if you do not want your identity known on a whois lookup. You can register a domain for as little as $20 a year, and you could even self-host, and use dynamic ip addressing if you are on a real tight budget.
I hope that you have found this message enlightening, and that you will be able to provide a better spam service in the future because of it.
Warmest regards,
Jason K.

Dear Sir/Madam,
After going through your profile I decided to contact you for friendship, assistance and distribution of my inheritance.
My name is Mrs. Rosemary Everson; I am a dying woman who has decided to donate
what I have to you/your church. I am 59 years old, and I was diagnosed with
cancer about 2 years ago – immediately after the death of my husband,
who left me everything he worked for.
I have been touched by God to donate from what I have inherited from my
late husband to you, for the good work of God, rather than allow my
relatives to use my husband‘s hard-earned funds ungodly. Please pray that the
good Lord forgive me my sins. I have asked God to forgive me and I believe
he has, because He is a merciful God. I will be going in for an operation
in less than one hour.
I decided to WILL/donate the sum of 2,000,000Euros(two million euros)
to you for the good work of the Lord, and also to help the motherless,
the less privileged, and the widows.
At the moment I cannot take any telephone calls due to the fact
that my relatives are around me and my health status. I have adjusted my
WILL and my lawyer is aware I have changed my will to include you and he will arrange
the transfer of the funds from my account to you.
I wish you all the best, and may the good Lord bless you abundantly.
Please use the funds well, and always extend the good work to others.
Contact my lawyer (Barrister. Frederick Peterson) at this email address:
fedpeters07@aim.com, and tell him that I have you the WILLED 2,000,000.00 Euro,
and I have also notified him that I am WILLING that amount to you for a
specific and good work. I know I don’t know you, but I have been directed to
do this.
Thanks and God bless.
NB: I will appreciate your utmost confidentiality in this matter until the
task is accomplished, as I don’t want anything that will jeopardize my last
wish. Also I will be contacting with you by email, as I don’t want my
relatives or anybody to know because they are always around me.
Regards,
Mrs. Rosemary Everson.
Happy moments,praise God.
Difficult moments,seek God.
Quiet moments,worship God.
Painful moments,trust God.
Every moment,thank God
