Well, this is not the vacation that we planned. The plan was that we were going to go on a cruise from Sunday until Friday, but that was messed up due to the fact that I got sick. Yep, I even had to go home early on Thursday because I was feeling miserable. (I had planned to take Friday off.) Despite that, we still were going to go on a cruise, but that fell through when the one that we wanted to go on turned out to be booked (we missed the last cabin). So… Plan B: Hop in the car and drive up north and see what is there. But being smart, we take the car in to change the oil and the like. Well, that turned into a $500 bill and waiting on the car for 5 hours. (Oh ya, one of the things wrong was… you guessed it… a nail in the tire)
So, here it is, on Sunday the 18th (happy birthday to me…) and we haver finally got our stuff together. we decided to wait 2 days since we would have less money. Good thing that I get paid on Wednesday.
That is not to say that we havn’t had fun since (well, as much fun as one can have with the flu). Specifically, we saw Blue Man Group tonight. Bionca “surprised” me with it. (I figured it out as soon as she mentioned it). It was a really great show, though very little of it was what I expected (which I guess was part of why I liked it). I am not sure how to describe the show, but I am sure that there are videos and descriptions on the internet, so I won’t really bother here but to say that the paper avalanche was a lot of fun.
So, now I sit on the bed blogging, while Bionca is playing Guitar Hero (a great game), and thinking about how things are going to go. You might expect me to be pesimistic with the way things have gone so far, but as disappointing as it may sound, I have enjoyed myself so far, and expect to with the rest of this adventure. I some way, I like the unexpected creeping up like it has. It makes the telling all the better later.
Speaking of which, I plan on having the laptop with me while one the trip, and it is my hope to make several entries while on the trip, and to upload some pictures / videos while we are on our grand adventure.

Jas, I haven’t had a chance to check out your blog lately, but I am sorry that you were sick. I had wondered if you were able to get to go on the cruise, but now I know. =^) I will keep reading. I am glad that you were having fun despite the not so fun times. =^)
