First Christmas came and went, and now New Years too. (Happy 2008.) I enjoyed them, but I am also glad to get back to normal life. I will miss the lights though.

Christmas was spent over at Bionca’s mom’s place, where we met with her sisters and opened presents. We really had a nice time there, and it was great to see everyone. We were supposed to go to the Christmas Eve party, but since Bionca had a migraine, we didn’t go. Everyone seemed to like their gifts, but who can ever really know. More importantly everyone had a good time. Speaking of gifts, Bionca got me an iPod Nano (Green 8GB), and I love it. It just was delivered, but I have already imported my music collection into iTunes.

New Years was a bust. We were invited to two parties. One was from a friend of Dana, and the other was from Marcia (one of my co-workers). Since Bionca had alred accepted the invite to the first party, we went there. We got there at about 10 p.m., and I knew from when we opened the door and there was a group of about 8 or so people playing some board game that I was ready to leave. And it went down-hill form there. I spent most of the night trying to curb boredom while indicating to Bionca that I wanted to go (who even when I told her straight out, didn’t seem to catch on). I figured that we were stuck there until mid-night and I resigned myself to that, and redoubled my efforts afterward, and yet she made no move to the door despite my best efforts. Finally I laid down on the couch and when I started to fall asleep (and consequently snore), I went out to the car to sleep. When Bionca finally came out, she woke me up, insisted that I turn on the light to the car, and we stayed and talked for yet another 30 minutes. (which I would have preferred be used to sleep). When I turned the light back off, and laid down she finally got in the car and we left. We got home at about 3:00 a.m.

I would have preferred that we stay home to that. When came in today and Marcia was talking about her party, I was so disappointed since it sounded like it was a lot of fun. Oh well.

Jas, I feel so bad (laughing) that your New Years was like that. Thank you for helping me see how great mine was. LOL I really hope that this isn’t an indicator how 2008 will be for you. My mom adds “No kidding!”

    Love,
    Moni
