Despite wearing SPF 50 sun screen, I am pretty scorched. The stuff is supposed to be “no rub,” but the areas that I put extra protection on by spraying it into my hand and then rubbing it on are fine. So much for getting a tan, I guess. It’s a good thing that I have plenty of Tylonol.

I went to the doctor’s today, who went ove the results of my blood work. Everything was good, for the most part. The only part that was a little off was the ratio of my low density and high density cholesterol was a bit off, but my over-all level is fine. That, with the fact that my blood pressure is in the normal range, is a good sign of cardiac health. He also gave me info on setting up a sleep study to check for sleep apnea. I’m glad to hear it. I was a bit worried that he would give me bad news on the cardiac front. I still need to find a way to exercise (likely will be hitting the gym when we move), but I am trying to make better choices when eating so I am sure that will help keep me healthy for a while longer.

Eventually, the genes are going to catch up to me, but at least medical science is there to give me an edge.
