This past weekend was quite different than what I had planned, but I had a good time none the less. Originally, Friday was supposed to be a quiet day, followed by sleeping in in the morning until Bionca got off work, then it would be over to Dana’s for her birthday, (maybe Monk Tong at the House of Blues later), followed by playing a BESM game with Jon on Sunday. Well, none of that happened.
I started by talking to Chris late on Friday, where it turned out that their plans had changed, and would be free if we wanted to go up there, and after a short talk with Bionca, we decided to go for it. It seemed a bit odd, since Bionca had to work in the morning, but she said that she would head to work, and drive back afterward. It seemed weird, but since it would be an inconvenience to her, I let her decide. So we went up, and hung out for a while (four hours or so) and had a nice night. Since Bionca had to work in the morning, she left early. I thought that she was going to come back after work, but it turned out that she was too tired, and we decided that she would just come Sunday morning.
I had a really nice time with Stephanie, Chris, and Linnea. We just hung out, and then went to the park, but nothing special. It was just nice to spend some time with them. It had been too long. Saturday evening, they went out for the parent’s night thing that their day-care center does. While they enjoyed Chop Stix, I hung out at the house playing Boom Blox for about an hour and talked to Bionca on the phone. After they came back, I ate their left-overs (they were really good), we played a little more and had a nice time just playing and talking. We finally realized that we couldn’t keep our eyes open any longer, and had to call it a night.
Since we had planned on hanging out with Jon and Melissa on Sunday even though the game was canceled, Jon actually came up to get me. We didn’t stay long after he arived, which was a bit of a shame, since it would have been nice for them to interact a little more, but we had a nice ride back, and spent the day together. Bionca and Melissa went out on the town, so it was just the two of us. It was nice to have some time to sort of catch up and talk. We capped off the night by watching Twilight, which turned out to be pretty bad, whether or not you liked the book (which I didn’t), and afterward Jon and Melissa headed home.
All in all, it was a nice weekend. Hopefully next weekend will be as nice, and less chaotic.
