Bionca Kleinberg
The love of my life. My better half. My wife. Since getting together, we have been almost inseparable. We have one of those great opposites attract sort of marriages, where we fill in each other’s gaps. She is very organized and practical, but enjoys (or at least tolerates) the whimsy that I bring to the relationship. She’s good at tracking the details when I am focused on the big picture. That isn’t to say that we have nothing in common. She is a closet geek after all. We never fail to make each other smile, and make our friends sick by being “lovey.”
Heather Maher
My eternal friend and sister. Unlike most siblings, we have always been close, and while I don’t see her every week is a constant part of my life. Heather always has an eye for the future, and an unparalleled passion for things that she cares about. While we both have a very creative side to us, Heather has the ability to stick with her projects a lot better. She is very talented, and I love her dearly.
Chris Nielsen
Husband of Stephanie Nielsen. Chris and I have been friends since middle school. Sometimes childhood friends get lost to the ages, and some are timeless. We are in the second category. There was a time when we lost contact, but the instant that we reconnected is was like that time didn’t exist. Since then we talk daily, and though we are an 2 hours apart, our families are as close as can be. We have a lot in common, but Chris tends to be more organized and practical to my more adaptive and idealistic nature.
Stephanie Nielsen
Wife of Chris Nielsen. While I didn’t know her before they started dating, she is as dear to me as Chris. It’s sometimes strange how much she is like Bionca in personality. She’s such a friendly person that when she gets mad, it usually just comes out as cute. Don’t be fooled by her shy demeanor, just under the surface lies one wild babe.
Dana and John Tompkins
Bionca has known Dana and John for a long time, and soon after Bionca got together we became friends. Since then, they have been a pretty major part of my life and vice versa. We have watched their two boys, Logan and Evan, grow up from birth until now, and look forward to many years to come. Should something major happen in Bionca’s life I have about even odds that I will find out before Dana.
Phil and Lois Kleinberg
Also know to me as Dad and Mom. I never went through that phase where I hated my parents, although Mom may have at times thought that I did for some reason. I love them without question, and they have seen me though the good times and bad. They truly are the models of my life. After all of their years together married, they are amazingly affectionate with each other. Like Bionca and myself, they don’t just match each other but compliment each other. Their intelligence, humor, and love have been their greatest gifts to me. What I love best about them are Dad’s passion and willingness to disregard the expected for what is right, and Mom’s empathic nature and creativity.
